Students in need from Humboldt Unified and Prescott Unified school districts to receive donations
As part of the Northern Arizona Suns’ effort to aid students and families in need in the quad-city area, the Phoenix Suns affiliate will donate backpacks full of supplies to Humboldt Unified and Prescott Unified school districts today.
The NAZ Suns are donating 300 total backpacks to Humboldt Unified, Prescott Unified and Chino Valley Unified school districts to kick off the new school year. Exactly 100 backpacks will be distributed to each district that will include a spiral notebook, pocket folder, pencils, eraser, crayons and pencil case.
At 9 a.m. today, the NAZ Suns will visit Humboldt Unified School District’s “Back to School Supplies Giveaway” at the district office cafeteria to give out 100 backpacks with supplies for local military and families in need. At 2:30 p.m., the NAZ Suns will visit Prescott Unified School District’s “Meet the Teacher, Back to School Event” at Taylor Hicks Elementary School to donate another 100 backpacks full of supplies.
